Latest ballot counts released
The Imperial County Registrar of Voters announced Friday there are still approximately 8,198 unprocessed ballots from the Nov. 6 election.
Included in this figure are 5,055 vote-by-mail ballots, 3,074 provisional and 69 conditional voter registration provisional ballots, the Registrar said in a release.
The Registrar’s office will commence with processing provisional ballots once all vote-by-mail ballots are processed. Provisional ballots may not be counted until all voter rosters are reviewed and voter’s history is applied to voter’s record.
The Registrar’s office said its staff will continue to work diligently to complete the election canvassing process and update the public of results in a timely manner.
The Registrar will issue another results update Tuesday on its website at www.co.imperial.ca.us/regvoters. This will not be a final tally of all ballots.
