Finally! Courteney Cox opens up about her plastic surgery mishaps — and reveals what drove her to extremes

Courteney Cox faced sheer sea cliffs and harsh terrain in the Irish Highlands on the Aug. 22 episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls — but it was nothing compared to aging in Hollywood. The Friends alum, 52, got candid about her disastrous Botox and fillers on the show (nothing makes a girl want to open up like roasting a sheep testicle sac full of maggots over a campfire!). “Being a woman in this business and getting older is not the easiest thing,” she said, adding that the intense pressure to maintain her looks caused her to go overboard in an effort to “chase” her youth. “And then you look at a picture of yourself and you go, ‘Oh God, I look horrible,’” she admitted. “So now I have a new motto: Just let it be.” But Courteney hasn’t completely abandoned her vanity — she inexplicably brought a can of hair spray on her survival adventure, which Bear used to start their fire!

Courteney isn’t the only Friend reflecting on the past. It turns out Ross Geller — oops, we mean David Schwimmer — recently complained that his massive fame made him “want to hide under a baseball cap and not be seen.” That’s because he was constantly recognized by fans who saw him as “part of [a] family,” says the 49-year-old. “I’m the same guy for 10 years, you can rely on me to be a certain way and you know me — or you think you know me.” Translation: He won’t be there for you!

“I have done things that I regret, and luckily, they’re things that dissolve and go away,” said Courteney (here in September 2015) of her previously overfilled face. What was I thinking?!
