“This is GENIUS,” Shai­lene Wood­ley, 24, tweeted re­cently about an app called Too Good To Go that lets U.K. din­ers buy pre­pared food that was not served (not plate scraps!) for the equiv­a­lent of around $5. “Why would I want to buy leftovers?” ques­tioned one com­menter. “Why not do­nate the food to the home­less?” An­other was pumped: “If I could get hours-old food for cheap that still tasted good, I’d be all over that!”
