RESTAURANTS SELLING LEFTOVERS — GREAT IDEA OR GROSS?
“This is GENIUS,” Shailene Woodley, 24, tweeted recently about an app called Too Good To Go that lets U.K. diners buy prepared food that was not served (not plate scraps!) for the equivalent of around $5. “Why would I want to buy leftovers?” questioned one commenter. “Why not donate the food to the homeless?” Another was pumped: “If I could get hours-old food for cheap that still tasted good, I’d be all over that!”
