There’s no shortage of drama on the set of The Voice this season. In Touch has learned that new coaches Miley Cyrus, 23, and Alicia Keys, 35, have clashed since day one — and it’s gotten so bad that the two can’t stand to be around each other. “They are constantly bickering and competing for attention and camera time,” says a show insider, adding that the women’s on-camera digs are nothing compared to the war going on behind the scenes. “Alicia doesn’t take Miley seriously and is constantly rolling her eyes and raising her eyebrows when she speaks.” Meanwhile, adds a source, “Miley thinks Alicia is way too uptight and serious.” But the fact that they are so different is the very reason why NBC execs thought it would be a good idea to put them together on the show. “They come from totally different worlds with such different fan bases,” says the insider. While contestants seem to respect Alicia’s talent more (she’s a 15-time Grammy winner), the crew can’t get enough of Miley’s funloving personality. “They think she’s the most fun judge they’ve ever had and know fans are going to love her this season,” says the insider, adding that the favoritism only irks Alicia more. “There is definite competition and tension between these two, and it’s only a matter of time before it explodes.”

“The Voice has become the Miley and Alicia show,” says a source.
