She fi­nally resur­faced. On Oct. 8, nearly two months after she was last seen in pub­lic, Se­lena Gomez, 24, was spied grab­bing din­ner at Texas Road­house in Al­coa, Tenn. “She was with an [older cou­ple]. On her way out she took a pic­ture with me,” Maius Ayl, an em­ployee at the res­tau­rant, tells In Touch (see inset). “She looked healthy.” That’s be­cause she’s been fi­nally get­ting help fol­low­ing a ter­ri­fy­ing down­ward spi­ral in which she couldn’t stop drink­ing or par­ty­ing. The for­mer Dis­ney star, who can­celed her Re­vival World Tour in late Au­gust, has been in re­hab at the Brookhaven Re­treat in Sey­mour, Tenn. “Brookhaven is a place for women only,” a source tells In Touch. “It guar­an­tees plenty of pri­vacy be­cause of the trees and fields around it.” It’s ex­actly what Se­lena needs. “Her mom [Mandy] has kept the cir­cum­stances very se­cret for fear of too much in­for­ma­tion get­ting out there, but ev­ery­one hopes she is in treat­ment for al­co­hol, par­ty­ing and her men­tal health is­sues,” says an in­sider, re­veal­ing that be­fore Se­lena ar­rived at Brookhaven, she was so ill that she se­cretly spent sev­eral days in a men­tal health hospi­tal. “If any­one knew how bad she was, they’d be in shock.” While she’s ex­pected to stay in re­hab for “a few months,” the in­sider adds that Se­lena re­mains in good spir­its. “She [re­cently] called some friends to tell them she’s feel­ing con­fi­dent that she can do this.”

“Ev­ery­one just wants Se­lena to get well,” says a source. “She was amaz­ing,” says Maius Ayl, who was work­ing at Texas Road­house on Oct. 8 when Se­lena stopped in for din­ner. “Her team has worked so hard to hide the truth,” an in­sider says of Se­lena, who is
