Sneak Preview

In Touch (USA) - - Intouch -

Watching the revival of Will & Grace is like catching up with old friends who have matured — but not too much! Pretending the flash-forward finale of the original series never happened, the premiere finds Will (Eric Mccormack) and Grace ( Debra Messing) living together again as single roommates after Will split from Vince ( Bobby Cannavale) and Grace split from Leo ( Harry Connick Jr.). “It’s people in midlife saying, ‘ Hey, wait. I’ve tried, but I still haven’t found anything better than this,’” says Eric. Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen ( Megan Mullally) are still making mischief (now modernized) — we’ll see Jack on Grindr and hear Karen brag of being pals with Melania Trump. “[Karen]’s the same, but worse,” Megan says. “And I can’t tell you how fun that is.” Another thing that hasn’t changed? The cast’s comic chemistry. “It’s a gift that we get to [ portray] these characters again,” says Sean. Adds Megan, “The episodes we shot are just as good, if not better, than anything we have done.” THURS. 9/ 28, 9 P. M., NBC

Will & Grace originally ran from 1998 to 2006. ”Literally, a family come has back together and we’re doing just Round Two,” says Debra.
