UTAH’S MOST FABULOUS SOCIALITES MAKE FOR THE WILDEST HOUSEWIVES SEASON YET
Blame the high altitude. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City — the latest installment of the Bravo franchise that centers around a group of well-todo women as they navigate life against a backdrop of stunning mountains, Mormonism and the quest for perfection — has certainly started with a bang. “You have six very, very different people,” says cast member Lisa Barlow (who calls herself a “Mormon 2.0”). “I don’t think there are two of us who are alike, so of course things are going to get interesting.” Here, Lisa and her Season 1 co-stars Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks and Jen Shah (fellow Housewife Whitney Rose was unavailable for interviews) talk feuds, religion and arranged marriages with In Touch’s Natalie Posner.
How has the show affected you? HG: It was really fun, emotional and
revealing. You learn a lot about yourself in that environment.
MM: You have moments that make you look introspectively to try to understand why you’re making certain choices. But then when you’re dealing with issues you don’t want to address, you get backed into a corner. So it’s a love/hate thing.
MC: It’s been fun to watch. I had no idea I made so many faces!
What was the craziest moment?
LB: The girls’ trip to Las Vegas. It was a lot, and we didn’t sleep much! I needed three days to recover. MM: The argument between Jen and
