Raised in Brittany, France, Joséphine Le Tutour begrudgingly entered a modeling competition in 2011 at the behest of a friend. To Le Tutour’s surprise, she won and soon became a regular on the high-fashion runways. In 2013 the freckled beauty moved to New York and went on to earn top billing in campaigns for Michael Kors and Massimo Dutti. For this collaboration with Paris-born makeup pro Violette, the 23-year-old model says she felt right at home in the oh-là-là looks: “It’s very French to wear bold color against dewy skin.” While she usually wears makeup only on special occasions, Le Tutour left our Brooklyn set with her shimmering gold eyeliner in place. “I might try doing this myself, though I know it won’t come out the same way,” she says with a laugh. “I think I’m going to be finding little pieces of glitter for weeks!”
