Feminism: The belief that women and men should have equal political, social and economic rights. If you believe men and women should be treated equally, you are a feminist. Sexism: Discrimination, prejudice, stereotyping, or unfair treatment based on a person’s sex. Both women and men can be victims of sexism. Misogyny: To hate, distrust or think less of women based solely on their gender. It can be practiced by men and women.
Double standard: A principle or rule that is applied differently and unfairly to two different groups of people. It’s often seen in the differences in standards set for men compared to women.
