Pillow Finishing Materials & Instructions

• 14" x 14" piece coordinating fabric

• 2 yards coordinating cotton piping

• Coordinating sewing thread

• Polyester fiberfill

Press stitched piece from reverse side, straightening as much as possible. Trim stitched piece to 2" from stitching on all sides.

Beginning at bottom center of stitched piece, pin piping to right side of stitched piece, mitering corners and matching raw edges. Baste piping to stitched piece.

Cut a piece of coordinating fabric same size as stitched pillow front for backing. Place backing and pillow front right sides together and aligning edges. Starting at bottom of pillow, sew stitched front and back pieces together, staying close to piping and leaving a 5" opening at bottom for turning. Trim seam allowances as needed and clip corners to reduce bulk.

Turn pillow right side out and press seams. Stuff pillow with fiberfill and blind-stitch opening closed.
