Pil­low Fin­ish­ing Ma­te­ri­als & In­struc­tions

• 14" x 14" piece co­or­di­nat­ing fabric

• 2 yards co­or­di­nat­ing cot­ton pip­ing

• Co­or­di­nat­ing sewing thread

• Polyester fiber­fill

Press stitched piece from re­verse side, straight­en­ing as much as pos­si­ble. Trim stitched piece to 2" from stitch­ing on all sides.

Be­gin­ning at bot­tom cen­ter of stitched piece, pin pip­ing to right side of stitched piece, mi­ter­ing corners and match­ing raw edges. Baste pip­ing to stitched piece.

Cut a piece of co­or­di­nat­ing fabric same size as stitched pil­low front for back­ing. Place back­ing and pil­low front right sides to­gether and align­ing edges. Start­ing at bot­tom of pil­low, sew stitched front and back pieces to­gether, stay­ing close to pip­ing and leav­ing a 5" open­ing at bot­tom for turn­ing. Trim seam al­lowances as needed and clip corners to re­duce bulk.

Turn pil­low right side out and press seams. Stuff pil­low with fiber­fill and blind-stitch open­ing closed.

Work French knot where ap­pears us­ing two strands of floss and wrap­ping floss around nee­dle twice.
