In­struc­tions: Cross stitch over two threads us­ing one strand of floss. Back­stitch over two threads us­ing one strand of floss.

Fin­ish­ing Ma­te­ri­als & In­struc­tions

• 9"x 9" piece of co­or­di­nat­ing fab­ric • Co­or­di­nat­ing sewing thread • Two co­or­di­nat­ing 1/2" round but­tons • 12" length of co­or­di­nat­ing twisted

cord­ing* • 61/2"-long 3/8"- di­am­e­ter wooden dowel • Craft twine (op­tional)

Press stitched piece from re­verse side, straight­en­ing as much as pos­si­ble. Trim stitched piece to 71/2" x 71/2", cen­ter­ing de­sign. Cut co­or­di­nat­ing fab­ric to same size as stitched piece. Place stitched piece and co­or­di­nat­ing fab­ric right sides to­gether. Stitch to­gether us­ing a 1/2" seam al­lowance and leav­ing a 4" open­ing for turn­ing.

Turn right side out and press seams. Us­ing a hand-sewing nee­dle and co­or­di­nat­ing thread, blind-stitch 4" open­ing closed.

Us­ing photo for ref­er­ence, sew but­tons to top of stitched piece ap­prox­i­mately 1" from top side edges. Wrap cen­ter of wooden dowel with twine if de­sired. Cut twisted cord­ing in half. Wrap one length of cord­ing around each but­ton and knot se­curely. Cen­ter wooden dowel over stitched piece and wrap cord­ing over wooden dowel, se­cur­ing with bows.
