• 10" x 8" piece 14- count white Aida

from Charles Craft* • One skein each DMC® or Sul­li­vans®

USA six-strand em­broi­dery floss* • Size 24 ta­pes­try nee­dle *See Where to Find It on page 110. Stitch Count: 56H x 31W De­sign Size: 4" x 21/4" In­struc­tions: Cross stitch over one square us­ing two strands of floss.

Fin­ish­ing Ma­te­ri­als & In­struc­tions

• 6"x 4" piece green glit­ter felt • 6"x 4" piece black felt with sticky back • Sheet of pa­per • White sewing thread and nee­dle • 6" piece black che­nille stem

Trim stitched piece to within three Aida squares of de­sign. Place stitched piece on pa­per and mark a line 1/2" from stitched piece all around. ( The tem­plate will have the same shape as the stitched piece, but it will be 1/2" larger all around.) Cut out tem­plate. Us­ing tem­plate, mark and cut out one piece of green glit­ter felt and one piece black felt.

Cen­ter stitched piece on green glit­ter felt. Us­ing white thread, hand-sew stitched piece to felt one square from stitch­ing.

Peel back­ing from black felt and stick to wrong side of glit­ter felt. Make loop with che­nille stem and stitch to back of or­na­ment on felt for hanger.
