Cross stitch over one thread us­ing three strands of floss or one strand Fine Braid. Work run­ning stitch over one thread us­ing one strand of Fine Braid.

Fin­ish­ing Ma­te­ri­als & In­struc­tions

sticky back *See Where to Find It on page 110. Press stitched piece on re­verse side, straight­en­ing as much as pos­si­ble.

At­tach but­tons us­ing two strands co­or­di­nat­ing floss, re­fer­ring to photo for place­ment.

Count seven threads away from the run­ning stitch bor­der; cut and re­move the eighth thread. Do not fringe un­til felt is af­fixed.

Trim sticky-back felt, with pa­per still on, to same size as just be­yond the run­ning stitch bor­der. Peel away pa­per and ap­ply to back side of the stitched piece.

Care­fully re­move ex­cess fab­ric along the chan­nel that was cre­ated by re­mov­ing the eighth thread. Fringe by re­mov­ing six of the fab­ric threads, leav­ing the one right next to the run­ning stitch in place.
