In­struc­tions:

Cross stitch over two threads us­ing two strands of floss.

Back­stitch over two threads us­ing two strands of floss.

At­tach beads us­ing one strand 2264 and 1/2 cross stitch. Re­fer­ring to photo, at­tach star but­ton, string­ing three beads on floss as shown.

Fin­ish­ing Ma­te­ri­als & In­struc­tions

• Weeks Dye Works™ floss 1265 • 6"x 6" piece green wool fab­ric • Pink­ing shears • Polyester fiber­fill • 1 yard red vel­vet 1/4"- wide dou­ble­faced silk satin rib­bon from Rib­bon Con­nec­tions • Fab­ric-mark­ing pen­cil • Co­or­di­nat­ing sewing thread Us­ing two strands of floss, back­stitch an out­line around stitched de­sign ten threads from stitch­ing on all sides. Trim linen 1/2" out­side back­stitched out­line. Fold 1/2" seam al­lowance to back, mi­ter­ing cor­ners; press and baste in place.

Us­ing pink­ing shears, cut a piece of wool fab­ric 1/2" larger all around than stitched piece. Cen­ter stitched piece on wool, wrong side of stitched piece fac­ing right side of wool; sew in place, leav­ing open­ing for stuff­ing. Stuff with fiber­fill; sew open­ing closed.

Mark rib­bon 2" from both ends. Fold rib­bon in half and mark cen­ter. Fold in quar­ters, mark­ing quar­ter folds. Un­fold rib­bon and pin cen­ter mark at top cen­ter of pil­low. Pin each quar­ter mark at side cen­ters. At bot­tom cen­ter, pin each 2" end mark, leav­ing ends free.

Start­ing and fin­ish­ing at bot­tom of pil­low, gen­tly gather and sew rib­bon to pil­low, cre­at­ing ruf­fle. Ad­just rib­bon to cre­ate even tails at bot­tom. z
