Cross stitch over two threads us­ing two strands floss.

Back­stitch over two threads us­ing two strands floss.

Work French knot where Í ap­pears us­ing two strands floss and wrap­ping floss around nee­dle twice.

Fin­ish­ing Ma­te­ri­als & In­struc­tions

Fab­ric for back Twisted cord­ing trim Mark­ing pen­cil Co­or­di­nat­ing sewing thread Sewing ma­chine (op­tional) Press stitched piece from re­verse side, straight­en­ing as much as pos­si­ble. Place tem­plate over stitched piece, align­ing the point at the bot­tom. Mark stitched piece 1/2" larger than tem­plate on all sides. Fol­low­ing marked lines, cut stitched piece. Cut co­or­di­nat­ing fab­ric the same size as stitched piece.

Place stitched piece and co­or­di­nat­ing fab­ric right sides to­gether. Us­ing 1/2" seam al­lowance, stitch down left side from top to bot­tom point. Re­peat for right side. (Be sure to stitch from top to bot­tom so that there is no puck­er­ing at the bot­tom point.) Turn ban­ner right side out.

Fold top of ban­ner un­der to­ward back 1/4" and press. From twisted cord­ing, cre­ate loop at least as wide as ban­ner. Fold top of ban­ner un­der 3/4", plac­ing twisted cord­ing loop un­der fold. Baste in place. Hem­stitch to se­cure. z
