IN AN ENGLISH COUNTRY GARDEN Lorna Bateman, instructor
A multitude of 3-D, raised and textured stitches will fill an embroidery garden that is unique to each student. A needlebook and scissors keeper are among the accessory pieces that can be transformed with stranded and pearl cotton floss, metallic thread and organdy.
HERBACEOUS BORDERS PINCUSHION Lorna Bateman, instructor
A garden-themed pincushion will be created with a variety of surface embroidery stitches in this early-bird class that complements the projects from In an English Country Garden.
MINIKIN Jackie du Plessis, instructor
This definitive reticule in the shape of a chalise is adorned with silk stitched blooms and finished into a hand-carry sized drawstring silk pouch. A sampling needlecase booklet that fits into the reticule will complete the project.
1715 MARY AIKEN REPRODUCTION SAMPLER Margriet Hogue, instructor
This Rhode Island sampler is the oldest one known to include the specific bands in the design. Worked on 35-count linen, the sampler measures 13¼" x 19¼". Class includes a presentation about the history of this New England treasure.
BE IT MY AMBITION Ellen Chester, instructor
This compartmentalized-style sampler has nine octagonal cartouches surrounded by a luscious strawberry vine border. This early-bird class project will be stitched on 36-count linen with silk threads.
MY NEEDLE’S WORKE SAMPLER/HUSWIF Ellen Chester, instructor
This original project, which uses 25 stitches, can be made as a sampler and framed, or it can be made into a huswif.

A handmade Shaker box featuring an embroidered bottom and silk sides will hold your needlework treasures. Silk threads, 36-count linen, a Shaker box and more are included in the kit. Fourteen different stitches are used to create this lovely set.

This British sampler will be reproduced on 40-count linen. Stitches for this early-bird class include cross, cross over one and satin.
