I love a holiday headband, hat or festive headwear of any kind! Last year my husband, Bill, decided to partake in the New Year’s Day tradition of plunging into the Maumee River in Ohio! It’s called the Polar Bear Plunge. I wanted to be supportive, but there was no way I was following him into that frigid water. My son, Nick, and I were waiting at the cold, muddy edge with warm blankets and dry clothes. I did sport a holiday headband, and the day made a fun memory. Bill did not have the cold-water heart attack I was positive he was going to have! I sure hope it’s out of his system and we can go back to our Jan. 1 tradition of paradewatching and pork-eating in our cozy, warm little home!
