• Co­or­di­nat­ing sewing thread • Straight pins • Pink­ing shears • Sewing ma­chine (op­tional)

Press stitched piece from re­verse side, straight­en­ing as much as pos­si­ble. Fold stitched piece in half again, press and then trim stitched piece to 1" from stitch­ing on bot­tom, right and top sides, mak­ing sure to trim the back half to match with front half.

Trim 9" x 12" cot­ton fab­ric to same size as un­folded stitched piece. Cut bat­ting slightly smaller than un­folded stitched piece.

Place stitched piece and trimmed cot­ton fab­ric, right sides to­gether, on top of bat­ting and pin edges to hold. Sew to­gether us­ing a 1/4" seam al­lowance, leav­ing a 2" open­ing for turn­ing. Turn needle­book right side out and sew open­ing closed.

Trim edges of 4" x 8" cot­ton fab­ric piece with pink­ing shears. At­tach cen­ter of piece to fold in­side needle­book us­ing co­or­di­nat­ing thread.

Re­fer­ring to photo for place­ment, at­tach two co­or­di­nat­ing but­tons to front of needle­book.

Open needle­book; at­tach rib­bon pieces to the in­side, cen­tered on each short end, us­ing co­or­di­nat­ing thread and re­main­ing but­tons. Close needle­book and tie rib­bons to­gether in a bow.
