Fern Ridge Collections

Just Cross Stitch - - Recipes & Memories - Pat Cherry

When the grandkids were little we would let them have their own “Charlie Brown” Christmas tree to decorate. My husband had a hunting camp (actually more like an animal observation camp), and we would take the kids out in the four-wheelers to select and cut down a tree of their choice. Then we would bring it back and let them decorate it. The decorations usually consisted of cutouts that they had colored from a coloring book, popcorn strings and cranberry strings that we all helped to string. After the Christmas celebration, we would take the tree outside and share it with the birds. I still have some of those cutouts packed away for their children.
