The Little Stitcher

Just Cross Stitch - - Recipes & Memories - Laura Rimola

Living in the country allows me to be in contact with some wild animals, especially with little birds, which, during the winter when the snow covers the woods and food is scarce, fly to the nearest houses in search of nourishment. For several years, during Christmastime and the whole winter, I have loved taking care of them, preparing mixtures of biscuits, seeds, fats, nuts and often even insects. They thank me with their presence, with their songs and their liveliness, which animates my garden and is a joy for my eyes. Little birds are truly a gift from nature, and their closeness, especially during the winter, reminds us that beauty really lives in little things.
