Spe­cial Ed­u­ca­tion Recognition Awards given to three teach­ers

— The Kent County Spe­cial Ed­u­ca­tion Cit­i­zens’ Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee rec­og­nized three ed­u­ca­tors for their work with Kent County stu­dents at their meet­ing on May 11.

The an­nual Spe­cial Ed­u­ca­tion Recognition Awards are pre­sented to teach­ers, ther­a­pists and oth­ers who pro­vide ex­cep­tional sup­port and ser­vices to their stu­dents with spe­cial needs. Re­cip­i­ents are nom­i­nated by par­ents or com­mu­nity mem­bers who see the pos­i­tive im­pact that th­ese ed­u­ca­tors have on their stu­dents.

Those re­ceiv­ing Spe­cial Ed­u­ca­tion Recognition Awards this year were speech and lan­guage pathol­o­gist Danielle Cudone, and in­struc­tional as­sis­tants Ane­sha Freeman and Jen Willis of H.H. Gar­net El­e­men­tary School.
