CHESTERTOWN — The online Voters’ Guide from the League of Women Voters is now available at vote411. org.

According to a news release, candidates for every office in every county in Maryland were asked to respond to questions relating to the duties of the office they are seeking and to list their websites and social media pages. More than 1,500 candidates responded to the league’s questions.

To access the Voters Guide from the League of Women Voters go to Vote411.org and type in your street address. You will then be able to see your candidates and what they stand for, written in their own words.

Voters can then make selections and begin building their own ballot. Click finish to email your virtual ballot to yourself and save or print to take it with you to your polling precinct as a guide.

Vote411 also lists leaguesponsored candidate forums throughout Maryland. From Vote411, the voter can access the Maryland State Board of Elections website to request an absentee ballot or update their voter registration information, either to change party affiliation or provide a new address.

Printed copies of the Voters Guide will be available at the Kent County Public Library and at the League of Women Voters table at the Farmers Market on Oct. 27 and Nov. 3.
