Mullin/Ash­ley wins three na­tional com­pe­ti­tions

CH­ESTER­TOWN — Mullin/Ash­ley As­so­ci­ates — a Mid-At­lantic-based brand­ing, com­mu­ni­ca­tions, web de­sign and pub­lic re­la­tions firm — has been named a win­ner in three na­tional mar­ket­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tions awards com­pe­ti­tions held dur­ing the first half of 2018.

Ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease, Ch­ester­town-based Mullin/Ash­ley won six awards for mar­ket­ing ma­te­ri­als de­signed and pro­duced for three clients: At­lantic Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal in Ber­lin, Dixon Valve and Cou­pling Co. in Ch­ester­town and Bettcher In­dus­tries in Birm­ing­ham, Ohio.

Dixon and Bettcher In­dus­tries are lead­ing world­wide man­u­fac­tur­ing firms in their re­spec­tive in­dus­tries, a news re­lease states. An Award of Ex­cel­lence was awarded to Mul- lin/Ash­ley in the Com­mu­ni­ca­tor Awards an­nual com­pe­ti­tion for its print ad­ver­tis­ing that cel­e­brates Dixon Valve’s 100 years in busi­ness.

The large-for­mat color ad­ver­tis­ment ap­peared in trade publi­ca­tions reach­ing Dixon’s tar­get in­dus­trial mar­kets in­clud­ing chem­i­cal pro­cess­ing, en­ergy and min­ing, trans­porta­tion ser­vices, food pro­cess­ing and phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals.

A sec­ond Mullin/Ash­ley sub­mis­sion made to the Com­mu­ni­ca­tor Awards com­pe­ti­tion won an Award of Dis­tinc­tion. This award was for a Bettcher In­dus­tries mar­ket­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tions cam­paign sup­port­ing the in­tro­duc­tion of the com­pany’s new Quan­tum Flex Trim­mer, a hand­held pow­ered meat trim­ming sys­tem used in pro­cess­ing plants.

The win­ning cam­paign en­com­passed the full range of MarComm ma­te­ri­als in­clud­ing brand logo de­vel­op­ment, dig­i­tal and print ad­ver­tis­ing, sales lit­er­a­ture, web com­mu­ni­ca­tions, email and postal mail mar­ket­ing and tradeshow pro­mo­tional ma­te­ri­als, a news re­lease states.

In the health­care in­dus­try seg­ment, Mullin/Ash­ley gar­nered four na­tional awards for mar­ket­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tions ma­te­ri­als de­vel­oped for At­lantic Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal.

Two Gold Awards were won for a multi-page cap­i­tal cam­paign pic­ture-book at­tract­ing ma­jor fi­nan­cial con­tri­bu­tions for the hos­pi­tal’s five ex­pan­sion ini­tia­tives in­clud­ing con­struc­tion of a new re­gional can­cer care cen­ter, ex­pan­sion of the Emer­gency De­part­ment and fa­cil­ity reno- va­tion ef­forts.

One Gold Award was re­ceived from the an­nual Aster Awards com­pe­ti­tion and the other Gold Award came from the an­nual Health­care Mar­ket­ing Awards com­pe­ti­tion.

Mullin/Ash­ley won for two other At­lantic Gen­eral ini­tia­tives as well. A TV/ca­ble ad cel­e­brat­ing the hos­pi­tal’s 25th an­niver­sary was named a Bronze Award win­ner by the Aster Awards, while the Health­care Mar­ket­ing Awards gave an Award of Merit for Mullin/Ash­ley’s de­sign of the hos­pi­tal’s­gether com­mu­nity mag­a­zine.

“Na­tional com­pe­ti­tions like the an­nual Com­mu­ni­ca­tor, Aster and Health­care Mar­ket­ing Awards al­low us to be judged ac­cord­ing to rig­or­ous stan­dards of mar­ket­ing and de- sign ex­cel­lence.
