Big Brothers eyes ‘ Fifty by Fe­bru­ary’

EAS­TON — It’s time to make a dif­fer­ence for lo­cal chil­dren. Big Brothers Big Sis­ters of the East­ern Shore is kick­ing off a “Fifty by Fe­bru­ary” cam­paign, a mis­sion to en­roll 50 new adult men­tors by Fe­bru­ary 2019.

Any­one liv­ing in the nine coun­ties of the East­ern Shore of Mary­land is in­vited to in­spire po­ten­tial in the lives of chil­dren by vol­un­teer­ing to men­tor, a news re­lease states.

BBBSES is ask­ing for in­di­vid­u­als to stand up for one of the 140 chil­dren on the wait­ing list. There is es­pe­cially a need for male vol­un­teers.

The cam­paign in­cludes re­cruit­ment and aware­ness ac­tiv­i­ties and events in­clud­ing Net­work­ing for a Cause, In­for­ma­tion Ses­sions, Men­tor Train­ings, a Busi­ness Af­ter Hours and pre­sen­ta­tions.
