Automatics are Gaining Ground
For years, automatic knives were illegal due to the Federal Switchblade Act, enacted in 1958. Thanks to the efforts of Knife Rights (Kniferights.org) and their Knife Owners Protection Act (KOPA, H.R. 84), 43 states now allow the possession of automatic knives, with 30 allowing everyday carry. These numbers are sure to climb, as Knife Rights is continuing the fight against the Federal Switchblade Act in states that are still under the legislation.
