Next Friday is Volunteer’s day
This Friday, September 8th, United Way of Tulsa will be commemorating its annual volunteer’s day during its 26th anniversary in Tulsa.
This year, the purpose of the day is to improve Archer Park, taking care of the environment while teaching the youngest in our community about the importance of guarding public places for the benefit of the whole community.
If you want to be a part of this day and become a volunteer, Archer Park is waiting for you this Friday at 9 am, when volunteers will gather at the park to paint benches and clean the area until 3 pm.
Neighbors, citizens and curious people are welcome to participate in this year’s Volunteer’s day supported by City Year, radio La Que Buena, Radio Viva and the Kendall Whittier neighborhood association. This year the motto of the day is: “We do what we do so that our children can have a better world.”
Archer park is located in the Kendall Whittier neighborhood, at 2831 East Archer St, Tulsa 74110. (La Semana)
