Jones prevails again at Bristol for second straight Xfinity win

Erik Jones claimed back-to-back NASCAR Xfinity Series victories, at both Bristol Motor Speedway and on the season, as he won Saturday’s Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300.

Jones also won at Texas on April 8, and he was the defending race winner at Bristol from last year.

Ryan Blaney was second — the same result he’s had in all three Xfinity races he’s entered. Daniel Suarez was third and series points leader Elliott Sadler fourth.

IndyCar: At Birmingham, Ala., Will Power won the pole for the fourth time in the Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park, and his Team Penske teammates, Helio Castroneves and defending champion Simon Pagenaud, qualified second and third, respectively.
