Volleyball team loses twice to finish Hoosier Classic winless

UNLV (4-9) lost both its Saturday matches in the Hoosier Classic on Saturday to finish the tournament 0-3.

In its first match, the Rebels were swept 3-0 by Florida Gulf Coast (7-4) 25-12, 25-17, 25-14. UNLV lost its second match 3-1 to Samford (59), with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 16-25, 25-18.

■ Men’s Golf: No. 12 UNLV shot a secondround 10-over-par 290 Saturday at the Olympia Fields Country Club/Fighting Illini Invitational, which is being played at the North Course (par 70, 7,300 yards) at Olympia Fields CC.
