Lakers fall but Ball gets first triple-double

Point guard is youngest player in NBA history to record feat

MILWAUKEE — Giannis Antetokoun­mpo scored 33 points to help Milwaukee overcome Lonzo Ball’s triple-double in the Bucks’ 98-90 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night.

Ball became the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double when he had 17 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds. At 20 years and 15 days, he bested LeBron James by four days to become the youngest to accomplish the feat.

Ball made just three of 12 shots in a loss at Washington on Thursday, but finished 7-for-12 and made 3-of-5 shots from three-point range against the Bucks.

■ Knicks 118, Kings 91 — At New York, Kristaps Porzingis returned after a one-game absence to score 34 points, Courtney Lee added 20, and New York won its fourth straight at Madison Square Garden.

■ Pelicans 111, Clippers 103 — At New Orleans, DeMarcus Cousins had 35 points and 15 rebounds and Anthony Davis added 25 points and 10 rebounds to help New Orleans overcome 23 turnovers to win.

■ Rockets 111, Grizzlies 96 — At Houston, James Harden scored 38 points and Houston solved its shooting woes against Memphis after losing to the Grizzlies twice in the first two weeks of the season.

■ Wizards 113, Hawks 94 — At Washington, Bradley Beal scored 19 points, and Washington forced Atlanta into a season-worst 24 turnovers.

■ Jazz 114, Nets 106 — At Salt Lake City, Donovan Mitchell scored 26 points, including four in the final minute, to help Utah snap a four-game losing streak. Rudy Gobert sat out the game for the Jazz with a bruised knee.

■ Nuggets 125, Magic 107 — At Denver, Jamal Murray scored a career-high 32 points, Will Barton had 26 points and nine rebounds — both season bests — and Denver defeated Orlando.

■ Suns 118, Timberwolv­es 110 — At Phoenix, Devin Booker and T.J. Warren scored 35 points apiece and Phoenix snapped a five-game losing streak.

■ Cavaliers 111, Mavericks 104 — At Dallas, Kevin Love had 29 points and 15 rebounds and Kyle Korver scored all 13 of his points in the fourth quarter to help Cleveland beat Dallas.

■ Warriors 135, 76ers 114 — At Oakland, Calif., Kevin Durant returned from missing one game with a leg injury to finish with 29 points, leading Golden State to its sixth straight win.

■ Spurs 133, Bulls 94 — At San Antonio, LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points and 10 rebounds and short-handed San Antonio set a season-high in points despite missing a third of its roster.
