Joanne Frances John­son, beloved wife, mother and grand­mother, passed away peace­fully Oc­to­ber 3, 2018 at the age of 69. She was born Jan­uary 3, 1949 in High­land Park, Mich. and moved to Las Ve­gas as a child and al­ways con­sid­ered it her home. Joanne was a United States Air Force wife and worked at the Pi­o­neer Club, the Gold Strike Casino and Ho­tel and the Rail­road Pass Casino in their ac­count­ing of­fices. She was known for her warm and lov­ing soul that taught her chil­dren to give the best and warm­est hugs. Joanne was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, Daniel Michael and Oma El­iz­a­beth Scan­lon; and grand­son, Ralph Carl (CJ) John­son III. She is sur­vived by her hus­band, of 51 years, Ralph C. John­son of Hen­der­son; her chil­dren, R. Carl (Pam) John­son Jr. of Kettering, Ohio, El­iz­a­beth (Randy) Mas­taso of Hen­der­son and Theresa (Michael) Henry of Hen­der­son; grand­chil­dren, Christo­pher and Re­becca John­son, Ran­dall Mas­taso, Michael (III), Meghan and Con­nor Henry; sib­lings, Bill (Caryn) Scan­lon of Boise, Idaho, Kathy Shan­non of Las Ve­gas, and Pa­tri­cia (Mike) Holm­berg of Ark­abutla, Miss.; and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews. Ser­vices will be at 10 a.m. Sat­ur­day, Oc­to­ber 13, 2018, at Cen­tral Chris­tian Church, 1001 New Be­gin­nings Dr., Hen­der­son, NV 89011.
