Nagasu, Rippon soar, land a bronze for U.S.
Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon put together flawless back-to-back performances, Nagasu becoming the first American woman to land a triple axel in the Olympics and Rippon nailing both of his triple axels in helping the United States capture a bronze medal.
Canada won the gold, with the Russians taking the silver.
Nagasu scored a personalbest 137.53 points to finish second behind Russian Alina Zagitova. Rippon finished with 172.9 points, less than a point behind Russian Mikhail Kolyada.
