All the shocking details of Scott Disick’s involuntary psychiatric hold at an LA hospital.
Is this rock bottom? On Aug. 18, firefighters were dispatched to Scott Disick’s home in LA’S Hidden Hills neighborhood after Scott’s security guard grew worried about his behavior and called 911. “He was violent, so we requested backup assistance,” LA County Fire Fighter Specialist Richard Licon reveals to Life & Style.
Scott, 34, was removed from his home on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital, where he was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold. California law states that a person can be placed on the hold — known as a 5150 — for up to 72 hours if he poses a threat to himself or others, and an insider says that was definitely the case for Scott. “He was completely out of it, and it was bad,” says the insider. “This was unlike any other situation anyone has seen with Scott before. He wasn’t making any sense when he spoke and there was a fear that he was going to do something dangerous.”
The Kardashian clan has experience with psych holds: In November 2016, Kanye West, 40, was placed on one at UCLA Medical Center after suffering a breakdown. And while Scott was in the hospital, his worried ex Kourtney Kardashian, 38, rushed to his side. “She wants him to be OK for the kids’ sake,” the insider says, “and she plans to do whatever she can to help him.”
She’s got a lot of work to do because Scott has been to rehab twice and also has used cocaine on a regular basis, according to his former manager. Earlier this summer, though, as Life & Style reported, Kourtney gave Scott an ultimatum that he sober up or stop seeing their kids, Mason, 7, Penelope, 5, and Reign, 2. Will she reinstate the ultimatum? It’s possible, because Scott hasn’t changed. On Sept. 1, less than two weeks after his release from the psychiatric hold, he was spotted partying at Marquee inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas before jetting to NYC just in time for Fashion Week — and all the late-night parties that come with it.
After years of abusing drugs and alcohol, Scott was hospitalized in August. But he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down, much to Kourtney’s horror. “Friends and family fear he’s headed for an overdose,” says a source.
