SHOWDOWN IN COURT

Miranda Lambert could face a confrontation with boyfriend Evan Felker’s estranged wife!

Miranda Lambert has been hearing from the haters in the wake of the revelation that her boyfriend, Evan Felker, is still legally married. And things are about to get even more uncomfortable for Miranda if she gets dragged into Evan’s divorce battle with estranged wife Staci. “That’s Miranda’s worst nightmare,” an insider says. “She hates being labeled a home-wrecker — it really tears her up. The last thing she wants is to get caught up in this.” A pal of the country singer’s recently told Life & Style that by the time Miranda and Evan, both 34, first met in person on Feb. 1, he was already in the process of splitting from Staci, 33. (His petition for divorce was signed Feb. 13 and filed in Oklahoma on Feb. 16.) But even if that’s the case, it might not prevent Miranda from having to come face-to-face with Staci in a courtroom. “They absolutely can call Miranda as a witness,” LA- based family attorney Goldie Schon, who is not involved in this case, tells Life & Style. “[Staci] can say, ‘I want to find out whether or not he spent our money on Miranda.’ ” It’s irrelevant, Schon says, that Turnpike Troubadours singer Evan was the one who filed for divorce first. “It makes absolutely no difference. It’s a marriage and there are two parties getting divorced,” Schon explains. “Miranda could definitely be deposed or be a witness at the time of trial.”

“Miranda loves Evan,” an insider says, “but she’s trying to steer clear of his messy divorce” from Staci (inset, with the Turnpike Troubadours frontman).
