Mustique Is the Most Exclusive Island in the World!

-

Regal History

With its status as a no-fly zone, paparazzi-free Mustique has long been a favorite destination of royals — especially Princess Margaret. Queen Elizabeth II’S sister (left, in white, with the queen) was gifted a parcel of land on the island as a wedding gift and often escaped there to party alongside celebrities.

The Beach to Be At

Soft sand and clear water make Macaroni Beach a go-to destination. But George prefers sticking to shallow waters no matter the stretch his family heads to. “He gets nervous about going deep into the ocean,” says an insider, “but he can swim without floaties!”

Rhythm & Rum Punch

Basil’s Bar, nestled on stilts over the water, is where in-the-know visitors head to enjoy daily cocktails to the soundtrack of steel drums. William and Kate even invited owner Basil Charles to their wedding in 2011!

Famous Residents

While plenty of celebs come to play here, Bryan Adams, Tommy Hilfiger and Mick Jagger are among the select few who own homes on the roughly 2square-mile island.

Hotels? There Are Only Two

While repeat visitors William and Kate choose to stay in private villas, the prince — clad in all white and flip-flops — is regularly spotted at The Cotton House hotel’s restaurants and bars. It’s one of two non-villas to stay at on Mustique.
