Teary Teresa’s Desperate Plea

Life & Style Weekly - - Inside Hollywood -

Although he emigrated to America as a child, a court ruled that Joe, who is currently serving a 41-month prison sentence for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud, must return to his home country.

Appearing before a packed audience at the Mohegan Sun casino for a Reality Check event in Connecticut on Oct. 21, Teresa Giudice, with tears in her eyes, asked the crowd to say a prayer that her husband Joe “gets to come home.” Eleven days earlier, a judge ruled that Joe, 46, will be deported to his native Italy at the end of his prison sentence for fraud in 2019. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 46, “feels like her hands are tied. There’s nothing she can do to change the legal system or the court’s mind,” a source tells Life & Style. “Which is why she’s asking her friends, family and fans to pray for Joe, to bring him home.” The fraught mother of four and her daughters Gia, 17, and Milania, 12, made impassioned pleas on social media, promising to fight for their family’s incarcerated patriarch. “Teresa’s mainly worried about her girls not having their dad around for those important moments like graduation, first dates and prom. It’s heartbreaking,” sighs the source. “She doesn’t think deporting Joe, tearing him away from his family, does anyone justice. Teresa really believes that he’s being unfairly punished because she’s famous.”
