MARYSVILLE — Interim Marysville Police Chief Chris Sachs isn’t letting the recent allegations against his former boss get in the way of duty.

“We’re going to continue to do the things we do and provide a high level of police professionalism to the citizens of Marysville,” Sachs said Monday. “We have several things in the works that I need to see to fruition.”

City Manager Walter Munchheimer last Thursday announced the separation of former Chief Aaron Easton from the police department. The announcement came the same day the Appeal-Democrat published an article covering allegations against Easton of sexual assault and an investigation by the Yuba County Sheriff’s and District Attorney’s offices.
