Lodi 13s’ winning streak ends
The Lodi BOBS 13-years-old all-star baseball team saw its three-game winning streak at the Central California Babe Ruth State championships in Santa Maria on Wednesday.
Five Cities, which defeated Lodi in the first game of the state tournament, made it two straight with a 13-3 win over Lodi. Five Cities banged out 15 hits in the seven inning contest. Lodi only had four hits; one each from Dylan Evans, Joshua Anderson, Aiden Ramos and Matt Rotert. Anderson and Kyle Mann had an RBI each.
Had Lodi won its game against Five Cities, it would’ve forced a second game to decide the title in the double-elimination tournament. After its loss to Five Cities in the opener, Lodi won its next three games, outscoring its opponents 24-11.
