Governor has surgery after fall
Gov. Jim Gibbons was in fair condition after surgery to repair his pelvis, which he broke when he was bucked off a horse.
The governor’s pelvis was broken in several places, requiring about two hours of surgery at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, said Daniel Burns, Gibbons’ communications director. Gibbons, 65, will be hospitalized at least until Friday but was expected to make a full recovery, Burns said.
