Soyuz capsule leaves station

Los Angeles Times - - 9• 25•10 -

A Soyuz capsule with two Russians and an American onboard undocked from the International Space Station after the crew resolved glitches that had prevented departure a day earlier.

Undocking had been thwarted by signaling errors in the computer system and a malfunction with the opening hooks and latches.

American Tracy Caldwell-Dyson and Russia’s Alexander Skvortsov and Mikhail Kornienko are due to land in the steppes of Kazakhstan. They spent nearly six months on the station.
