Review spoiled ‘Twilight’ ending

Los Angeles Times - - Calendar -

As a longtime vampire enthusiast, I was greatly amused by the title and accompanying illustration of the children’s book “Fun With ‘Dick and Jane and Vampires,’ ” (Sept. 19). The book sounds delightful, and I plan to buy a copy to read with my daughter.

However, as someone who is nearly finished reading “Eclipse,” the third book in the “Twilight” series and who is greatly looking forward to reading that series’ final installment, “Breaking Dawn,” I was quite dismayed to come to the end of the review and find what appears to be a major spoiler regarding that book, just casually tossed in as a jest!

Why would I possibly think that I needed to be cautious of spoilers regarding the “Twilight” series in a review of an unrelated children’s book?
