Blast injures 24 at street party
Twenty-four people were injured in Manila when someone hurled an explosive into a street party celebrating the end of the Philippines’ annual bar examinations, said Senior Supt. Agrimero Cruz, a spokesman for the national police.
The explosion took place outside the university where the exams were taken, Chief Inspector Erwin Margarejo, another police spokesman, said in a phone interview.
Police are trying to identify the perpetrator, who, according to witnesses, covered his face with a handkerchief, Margarejo said.
