Coke agrees to pro­tect data

Coca-Cola Co. agreed to pro­tect com­pet­i­tive busi­ness in­for­ma­tion of ri­val Dr Pep­per Snap­ple Group Inc. as a con­di­tion for U.S. and Cana­dian ap­proval of Co­caCola’s ac­qui­si­tion of the North Amer­i­can op­er­a­tions of bot­tler Coca-Cola En­ter­prises Inc.

The Fed­eral Trade Com­mis­sion and Canada’s Com­pe­ti­tion Bureau said they had ap­proved Coca-Cola’s $12.3-bil­lion pur­chase of the bot­tler.
