Former President Carter remains in hospital
Former President Carter is in “good spirits” a day after being rushed to a hospital with an upset stomach but will remain under observation a second night.
Carter “looks forward to getting back to his busy schedule,” MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland said in a statement with the Carter Center. Earlier the hospital said Carter was “feeling normal.”
Carter, who turns 86 Friday, developed an upset stomach during a flight to Cleveland, where he was scheduled to attend a signing for his new book, “White House Diary.”
