Seven killed by roadside bomb
An Afghan official said a roadside bombing killed seven people east of Kabul.
Din Mohammad Darwish, spokesman for the Logar provincial governor, said a vehicle occupied by two families was struck by a roadside bomb the Baraki Barak district.
Darwish blamed the Taliban for the bomb. He said four women, two children and a man were killed.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack but roadside bombs have been a weapon of choice for Taliban insurgents. Such bombs target officials and security forces, but also kill many civilians.
