Hawthorne shoot­ing: In the April 4 Cal­i­for­nia sec­tion, an ar­ti­cle about the fa­tal shoot­ing of Denise Berry, a mo­torist in Hawthorne, mis­spelled the name of one of her friends. She is Ch­eryl Lo­max, not Io­max. Ar­turo Var­gas: In the March 29 Cal­i­for­nia sec­tion, the head­line with a Chat & Selfie in­ter­view of Ar­turo Var­gas, ex­ec­u­tive direc­tor of the Na­tional Assn. of Latino Elected and Ap­pointed Of­fi­cials, de­scribed him as an L.A. na­tive. He was born in El Paso, not Los An­ge­les.
