-

VANCOUVER, Canada — Kekuta Manneh and Octavio Rivero scored second-half goals and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the Galaxy, 2-0, on Saturday night.

Manneh scored in the 56th minute and forward Rivero in the 66th.

A sellout crowd at B.C. Place Stadium watched Vancouver get its fourth consecutive win for the first time since joining Major League Soccer in 2011.

It was just the second time the Whitecaps had beaten the Galaxy in MLS.

Vancouver improved its Western Conference record to 4-1-0.

The defending MLS champion Galaxy suffered its second-consecutive loss and fell to 1-2-2.

Dating to last season, the Galaxy is winless in nine road games (0-5-4).

Edson Buddle, who came in as a substitute for the Galaxy, saw a couple of chances late but didn’t score.
