BIG ISLAND BASKING FOR GAUDY GECKOS

Los Angeles Times - - TRAVEL -

Drawn by its rugged beauty, Barbara and Richard Pederson visited Hawaii’s Big Island in March, where they stayed at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. The couple like the Big Island because of its rugged beauty, black lava and beautiful ocean views. They were bird-watching from their third-floor balcony when they spotted a pair of aptly named gold dust day geckos on a nearby palm tree. The Los Alamitos couple used a Panasonic DMC-FZ70.
