NOTE­WOR­THY: At age 21, Spi­eth is the sec­ond youngest to win the Masters. Woods was five months younger when he won in 1997.

KEY STAT: Spi­eth made 28 birdies to set a new Masters record. The old record was 25 birdies set by Mick­el­son in 2001.

BIG LEAD: Spi­eth, af­ter shoot­ing an open­ing 64, led by at least three shots the rest of the tour­na­ment. Big money: Spi­eth made $1.8 mil­lion out of a Masters purse that to­taled $10 mil­lion.
