Late night: Johnny Car­son was Amer­i­cans’ all-time fa­vorite late-night TV host in a re­cent poll by Quin­nip­iac Uni­ver­sity in Hamden, Conn. Car­son, who re­tired as host of NBC’s “Tonight Show” in 1992, was the fa­vorite of 25% of adults in the sur­vey. He was fol­lowed by David Let­ter­man with 13%, Jay Leno (7%), Jimmy Fal­lon (6%), Jimmy Kim­mel and Co­nan O’Brien (3% each) and Jon Ste­wart (2%).

Shonda: “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scan­dal” cre­ator Shonda Rhimes will write “Year of Yes,” pub­lisher Simon & Schus­ter an­nounced. Rhimes was in­spired to write the book, com­ing in Novem­ber, af­ter she was dared to say yes to un­ex­pected in­vi­ta­tions for a year.
