KVEA, KMEX top Emmy nods

Span­ish-lan­guage TV sta­tions KVEA and KMEX scored the most nom­i­na­tions for the 67th Los An­ge­les Area Emmy Awards, which hon­ors lo­cal sta­tions, the Tele­vi­sion Academy an­nounced Thurs­day.

KVEA, owned by Tele­mu­ndo, re­ceived 24 nom­i­na­tions, while KMEX, owned by Univi­sion, nabbed 18. Sis­ter sta­tions KCBS Chan­nel 2 and KCAL Chan­nel 9 re­ceived 15 nom­i­na­tions, fol­lowed by KCET and NBC4 with 12, KTLA Chan­nel 5 and Time Warner Ca­ble Sport­sNet L.A with 10, KABC Chan­nel 7 with 7, and Prime Ticket with 5.

The win­ners are to be an­nounced July 25 at the Skir­ball Cul­tural Cen­ter’s Guerin Pav­il­ion.
