KVEA, KMEX top Emmy nods
Spanish-language TV stations KVEA and KMEX scored the most nominations for the 67th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, which honors local stations, the Television Academy announced Thursday.
KVEA, owned by Telemundo, received 24 nominations, while KMEX, owned by Univision, nabbed 18. Sister stations KCBS Channel 2 and KCAL Channel 9 received 15 nominations, followed by KCET and NBC4 with 12, KTLA Channel 5 and Time Warner Cable SportsNet L.A with 10, KABC Channel 7 with 7, and Prime Ticket with 5.
The winners are to be announced July 25 at the Skirball Cultural Center’s Guerin Pavilion.
